National Teams

The federation forms national teams in the U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19 age groups and for seniors. Every season our national teams represent the country at Turkish championships and international tournaments. Our Air Badminton national team also holds joint training camps with the Turkish Air Badminton national team.

How are national team players selected?

A national team trial is held for each age group during the season. The date, venue, application deadline and conditions are announced in the Circulars section and the Event Calendar. Players who place at the trials join the national team squad and earn ranking points.

• A valid athlete licence is required to take part in trials.
• Applications are made through clubs before the deadline given in the announcement.
• Players who perform well at Turkish championships can join additional training sessions organised by the federation.

Highlights

• 2024: Nehir Deniz and Marko Lesinger earned places in the Turkish U17 National Team in mixed doubles at the U17 Turkish Championship in Bursa. Nehir Deniz had previously been selected for the Turkish U15 National Team.
• 2023: At the U13 Turkish Championship in Ankara, Mehmet Z. Harmancı reached the main draw in men's singles and doubles, and Kuzey Serinyürek in men's doubles.
• 2022: Nehir Deniz won two gold medals at the Bulgarian U15 International in Haskovo, in women's doubles (with Aysu Arslan) and mixed doubles (with Mehmet Can Töremiş).
