Federation Even Stronger with Grandex Finans

Our federation and GRANDEX Finans Ltd. have signed an advertising sponsorship agreement for the national team kit. Under the agreement, GRANDEX Finans will appear on all shirts and tracksuits worn by the TRNC national team in the 2017-2018 season. It was signed yesterday (22 November 2017) at a ceremony at the federation building by Federation President Fırat Deniz, on behalf of the Badminton Federation, and GRANDEX Finans Director Zehra Avkıran. Speaking at the ceremony, President Deniz said he was delighted with the agreement. Noting that their aim since taking office had been to raise the bar, he wished that the agreement would benefit sport in the country in general and badminton in particular. He said the one-year agreement for the 2017-2018 season means the national team will carry the GRANDEX Finans name on its shirts at all competitions and events at home and abroad. He thanked the company on behalf of the Board and himself, saying the badminton family would grow with more athletes and the shuttle would fly faster and stronger thanks to them. Deniz said he was pleased to have Zehra Avkıran's promise that this contribution, made on behalf of GRANDEX Finans by someone who has served badminton for 10 years, would continue, and that such support for sport should set an example for other companies.

Zehra Avkıran, who signed on behalf of GRANDEX Finans and was the federation's first president, said she was proud and happy about the agreement. Stressing the importance of supporting and encouraging sport at all times and of making it more widespread, she said such agreements are a valuable investment in the country's sport and youth. She said the GRANDEX Finans family was happy and proud to be the national team's kit sponsor, and spoke highly of President Fırat Deniz, thanking him for developing and spreading badminton in the country and promoting it across the TRNC through excellent events, social responsibility projects and tournaments.
