Our Badminton Federation, which has made great progress in recent years in spreading badminton across the island and getting more people playing, donated equipment to schools last year. Federation President Fırat Deniz said the equipment donated by the Turkish Badminton Federation (rackets, nets and shuttles) had been distributed free of charge to 20 schools, and that they were delighted with the record turnout at this year's inter-high-school competitions as a result. Deniz said their aim is to make more children and young people love badminton through schools, and that the teachers who carefully train the school teams have played a big part in this success.
